THIS SEASON: Tashara Carter begins her senior season with the Women of Troy as one of two returning starters... A do-everything player at forward, she contributes points, rebounds, assists and steals... She brings experience as the only three-year starter on the team.

IN 1999-00: Carter started all 30 games during her junior season... Averaging 10.0 points, 4.5 rebounds, 2.2 assists and 1.6 steals, she was USC's most well-rounded player on the court... She earned 2000 All-Pac-10 honorable mention honors for the second time in her career... She led the team in scoring in six games, twice in rebounding... Posted a team-leading and season-high nine rebounds and three blocks at Portland (Nov. 23)... Accounted for 11 points and a career-best six assists against Sac State (Dec. 11), while shooting 66.6 percent on the night... She tied her career-best with six assists against Baylor (Dec. 19), while accounting for 14 points (6-of-9)... Scored a career-high 21 points (9-of-13) against Washington (Jan. 9) - seven of which were scored in the final two minutes... Forced a season-best four turnovers against UCLA (Jan. 16)... Led the team with 20 points against Oregon (Jan. 27) - marking the second time she scored 20+ points during the season... Scored 19 points against Stanford (Feb. 5), 17 of them in the first half, and went 5-for-5 at the line... Had her 16th double-figure performance in the final regular season series against Washington (Mar. 9) with 10 points.

IN 1998-99: As a sophomore forward, Carter started in 25 of 27 games... She averaged 9.4 points, a mark that ranked her fourth on the team... Averaged 6.0 rebounds, third best on the squad... She posted a career-high tying 17 points along with six rebounds against Oregon (Feb. 6) and 17 points with seven rebounds against Stanford (Feb. 14)... Against California (Feb. 12), she collected 11 rebounds (tying her career high), 16 points and five assists... She had 16 points, five rebounds and four assists against Washington (Jan. 30)... At Arizona State (Jan. 2), Carter had a career-high tying six steals with 10 points and 10 rebounds... Throughout the season, she collected five double-doubles, including 13 points and 10 rebounds gainst Washington State (Jan. 28) and 14 points with 11 rebounds in the season opener against Boise State (Nov. 19).

IN 1997-98: In her freshman campaign, Carter started 25 of 27 games, averaging 6.9 points and 5.2 rebounds per contest... She finished third on the team in both points and rebounds and total steals (44)... Her 69 assists, 12 blocks and 814 minutes were both second on the team... She was named a Pac-10 All-Freshman honorable mention selection... Mainly playing small, she did see time at guard as well... She posted 17 points and six steals to go along with two blocks and six rebounds at Washington (Jan. 31)... At Arizona State (Mar. 7), she had 11 rebounds, following a double-double (12 points, 10 rebounds) performance in the team's first meeting... She had 11 points and five steal against Seton Hall (Dec. 27)... Added 10 points and a block against Stanford (Jan. 16), 10 points versus UCLA (Jan. 23) and 10 points and seven rebounds at Washington State (Jan. 29)... She scored nine points in her USC debut against Long Beach State (Nov. 25).

IN HIGH SCHOOL: Carter is a 1997 graduate of Bishop Montgomery High in Torrance, Calif. ... As a senior, she was honored as a 1997 USA Today Honorable Mention All-American, 1996-97 Street & Smith preseason All-American honorable mention, 1997 All-CIF Southern Section Division III Player of the Year and first-team selection, and the 1997 South Bay Daily Breeze Player of the Year... She also earned All-Del Rey League Co-Most Valuable Player honors leading Bishop Montgomery to its second consecutive Division III state and Southern Section championships and its third consecutive Del Rey League title... During that season, she averaged 17.0 points, 10.0 rebounds and 6.0 assists... In her junior year, she averaged 16.0 points and 8.0 rebounds and teamed with former Trojan Tiffany Washington (1996-2000)... Her other honors include: All-Division III as a junior in 1996, All-CIF Division III in 1995 and 1996, 1995 Los Angeles Times All-South Bay, 1995 and 1996 South Bay Daily Breeze All-South Bay, 1995 Del Rey League MVP and three-time All-Del Rey League selection... Averaging 15.0 points and 7.0 rebounds per game as a sophomore, she helped lead Bishop Montgomery to the Division III state semifinals in 1995.

PERSONAL: Tashara Den‡e Carter was born Dec. 15, 1979, in Harbor City... She is the daughter of Albert and Vicky Carter and she has two brothers, Clint and Ronnie... Her hobbies include shopping and playing basketball... A communications major with a minor in cinema and television, she would like to one day work in the entertainment industry or continue playing basketball.
