Summer
He batted .322 (39-for-121) for the Palm Springs Power of the Southern California Collegiate Baseball League...led the regulars with a .464 on-base percentage and 21 stolen bases...had 10 RBI to go with 29 walks against just 18 strikeouts.
2007
In his 2007 freshman season, O'Neill made four starts in 18 games....batted .375 (6-for-16) with four RBI and one stolen base...went 3-for-7 at the plate with two RBI in back-to-back starts on May 26-27 against Stanford...went 1-for-2 with a double and RBI in his first collegiate start on March 9 at Stanford...used as a pinch runner and scored a run in his collegiate debut on Feb. 9 against San Diego.
High School
O'Neill was a two-time team captain at Poly High in Riverside, Calif. for coach Aaron Moore...earned All-CIF second team honors in his junior season...he was a two-time All-Riverside County and three-time All-Ivy League first team selection...hit .409 with 23 walks and 15 stolen bases in his senior season...batted .423 (41-for-97) with 35 runs scored, 17 RBI, 20 walks and 12 stolen bases in his junior season...his team was the CIF Division I runners-up in his junior season...teammate of current USC player Hector Rabago...had the highest grade-point-average on his team during his senior season...three-time winner of the school's Academic Athlete Award...played in the Connie Mack World Series twice for the Trombley Bears and was named to the World Series All-Tournament team in 2005.
